6th Class Approaches Completion
PHILADELPHIA January 16, 2009 – The Public Nomination process for the Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame’s Class VI continues and approaches its completion deadline on January 29, 2009.
Nominations are submitted online, via email, or through the US Mail. As part of its selection process, the Hall of Fame relies heavily on input from fans, with the top nominees submitted by the public included on the election ballot.
“The Philadelphia fans are some of the most knowledgeable in the country, and we are excited to have their input to this critical annual process”, said Pete Georgelos, member of the Hall’s Board of Trustees and the Chairman of the PSHF Ballot Committee. “We strongly encourage Philadelphia’s sports fans to share their support of the heroes and all of the great athletes who have graced our sporting landscape for so many years. This a unique opportunity for fans to participate in honoring them.”
Submissions are accepted at http://www.phillyhall.org/submit_nom.asp , via email (nominees@phillyhall.net) or paper mail to: Philadelphia Sports Hall of Fame, 919 N. 5th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123. All nominations must include the nominee's accomplishments and/or contributions along with the submitter’s contact information including name, address and email.
